Company...from Virginia

We waited, not knowing what time my sister and her husband would show up. It was 91 degrees outside and our air conditioning wasn't working so we called the AC repair guy. He showed up and in an hour he had our air blowing cold. He said it was a relay switch or something like that.

Getting the bill ready....Yikes

Right as Rupert was leaving Sherry called around 1 in the afternoon letting us know they were in our parking lot and wanted to know where to park. We ran down to greet them...

Sherry's Here!
It was very exciting, as we don't get visitors very often, and we hadn't seen Sheryl and Mike in over a year. They came in a we gave them the grand tour, then we sat out on the patio visiting for a while. We then decided to run down to to Crabby Jacks for some beers and seafood.

We got a patio table and placed our orders. The beer was cold and the food was good. Life is good.

After diner we went back to the condo, had drinks and more conversation, then mike made a hotel reservation and they left to catch some shuteye with the promise of Mike making us breakfast in the morning.

They showed up at our place around 8:30 the next morning and we decided to run down to the cafe on the pier for breakfast, as it is one of our favorite breakfast places in town for the spectacular views of the ocean as we eat.
Welcome to paradise

After a hearty breakfast we wandered down the boardwalk to walk off some of the food we had just eaten.
Chilling out after breakfast

Mike pretending he know how to read

After our walk on the beach we ran down to see if the iguanas were out under the bridge.
There'e Iggy

The girls don't want to get to close..

Then we decided to go back to the condo so Sherry and Mike could do their laundry.

Laundry is such a bitch

Sherry! Sherry!!....the washer is done!

Cool water on a hot day. Nice!

The gangs all here!
After the laundry was done, it was around 5 and we were headed back down to the beach for dinner. Tonight is was going to be Bob's pizza, famous for the stone fired pizza and live music coupled with a great relaxed atmosphere right off the beach.

Whats for dinner!
Oh no...2 beers down already

Thats some good Pizza!
After dinner it was back to the condo for nightcaps and conversation. It was a great evening. Life is still good!

Where did I get this hat?
After some really nice comraderie, it was late and they hadn't found a hotel for the night, It was time for them to get some sleep. So off into the evening they went...in search of the bonefish inn, or something like that.
I gotta go...Really...I gotta go..
No more stinking pictures!
The next morning Sheryl and Mike came over at 10 AM and we sa around drinking coffee and shooting the bull. They were headed back up north to one of their son's place, he lives up in northern Florida. The took off at noon and we walked them out to say our goodbye's.
The long walk home.
Later gator..
It was sad to see them go, as we truly enjoy their company, however we will see them in a few weeks, as we head home we are going to stop in Virgina to see their house and drink their coffee.
Well I better get to bed, tomorrow we are going to Orlando for our free trip to Disney World. It was partof a package we bought a couple of years ago. Bonnie and her freind used part of it last year when they took the cruise to the Bahamas last winter. They were supposed to get two days at Disney also but they got sick and did not use it. I got to get to bed.....nite!

  1. That looked like so much fun!!! It reminded me of the Stuart-Diamond Head Connection! Those were the days! I know I'll end up in Florida. Love you, Deb
