Great news...Mom is doing good, It was not a stroke, it was stress induced problem. (thanks god!) So we got up at 9am, well I got up at 9am. Bonnie got up at 7am. We awoke to a brisk morning temp of about 50 ish degrees. We got showered and decided to go somewhere beings we hadn't done anything the day before. We ate some English muffins and coffee and packaged up the e-bay sold goods and headed to the post office. We got there around 11am.

With the wallet $20 lighter we jumped back in the car and decided to head to the beach to see how the cold spell affects the attendance on the beach.It was around 11:30 and 57 degrees when we got there. I will let the pictures tell the story;

Seriously...Where are all the people?
Well this guy was there! And it was still beautiful!

There he is!
We walked around checking out the beach and it was kinda surreal because this beach is always packed! It was a little after noon and decided to grab a bite at the pier cafe, beings we were there and we love that place.
After lunch we were walking along the beach and noticed some boats out on the ocean and grabbed a couple of shots.

That sailboat looked cool out there!

We then decided to run down to the lighthouse park and see if we could find any manatees. We didn't but saw some colorful fish. Look how clear the water is, that fish is about 6 feet down. I did chat with this guy that was sitting at the park and he said there was a manatee in there yesterday. He said the Broward Sheriffs water patrol chases them back into the intercoastel when its cold out to try to keep them in the warmer waters of the intercoastel.

After nature watching for an hour or so we jumped back into the care and took a drive down A1A , which is the road that runs between the ocean and the intercoastal, checking out the scenery and stopping every so often to look for manatees in the intercoastel. Didn't find any again but it was a pretty drive.

Flowers in paradise!
It got to be around 3 or 4 so weturned for home as we had laundry waiting for us. We had planned on going down to the beach at 7pm, they have a street dance every Tuesday night at 7, but we figured it would be to cold. its funny here watching the news when it gets cold here. They have all kinds of warnings about the cold, I laugh and comment to Bonnie that its not even below freezing and they completely freak out. But she reminded me that alot of people that are native to the area have never even seen snow in their lives. Unbelievable. Well we decided to stay in and watch biggest loser, so that was it from (cold) paradise.
See ya next time...same bat channel...same bat time.....
