Well tonight was officially one week of retirement!! We arrived her last Sat nite...seems like a month ago! I gotta admit, I don't know how I got along with having to go to work 5 days a week.
Well back to whats going on here in paradise..We got up early to go garage sales,and the weather was perfect again,about 81. Here is the first sale we went to.

We went garage saling from 7:45 am till about 12:30 in the afternoon. As a matter of fact we got hot dogs for lunch at the last sale we were at for 2 bucks apiece. They tasted good as we were starved. We didn't find very many great treasures, partly because we were not familiar with the addresses yet. We were struggling to find some of the addresses we had written down a couple of days ago. I think the more familiar we get with the area the faster we will find the good sales! I took a picture of the few things we got. A bamboo table, some palm tree wall hangings and the projector.

We we tired of searching so we did what anybody in a beautiful day would do, we went to the beach. What a great afternoon sitting on the beach. We were mildly surprised at how many people were down there. We can go during the week and easily get a parking place, but today it was crazy, we had to wait for a parking spot. here is a picture of the beach.

We sat down here for about an hour, of which I was in the water twice trying to stay cool. We got restless and decided to go to one of our favorite spots, just down A1A, to lighthouse point. Really cool little park down there where the boats come in from the ocean.

We sat down there for about one and a half hours then decided to return home to get our laundry done.
We got the laundry in and out the realized we were still starving so we had a grilled cheese sandwiches and Mandarin oranges for dinner. I loved it, Bonnie is such a great cook! We then sat out on the patio welcoming the cool evening breeze. Tomorrow there is a huge flea market /garage sale up in Boca we are going to check out. I will get a picture of it for you to see. We did receive some mail today, something we had been waiting for, some certificates we ordered from South Florida Dines.com. It is a great site for ordering discounted vouchers to local participating restaurants. For example we got a 30 dollar coupon from Watercolors (a restaurant in Boca, on the intercoastel) for 15 bucks. We have used them before and they are great. We are planning on using that one tomorrow evening. Bedtime for me...big day tomorrow...Thanks for reading my rants!
