Put another log on the fire

We had been driving all day long from the Arkansas campground and decided to stay at the Chickasaw State campground while it was still light. We get there and it is gated and closed. Now it is dark and we do not know where to go. We find a state park on the map not far from here called Roland Cooper state park on the Alabama river. We get there in the dark and the park is about 1 mile off the highway. Bonnie thinks we are going the wrong way and wants to abort this venture, however we continue out this dirt road and find the park. We cannot find the campground and are ready to leave when a truck pulls up beside us and asks if we want to camp. We respond we definitely do and he directs us to the campground. We find out he is going to lock the front gates for the night. Whew!! just in time. we go to find a spot but it so dark we cannot really tell where we are so we pull into a spot and set up. We are kinda spooked at how dark it is outside so we decide to build a campfire. We hear all kinda noises around us so we go to bed. When we wake in the morning we find out the park is beautiful and right on a lake.

The lake is stunning and we are told it is the "best Bass fishing in these parts"
