It was a blast as we shopped and looked at sights and of course walked Duvall street Saturday night while consuming some beverages. On Monday we went to Hardrock Casino down in Hollywood and then drove to the beach to hang out. They flew out on Tuesday afternoon and we went home and napped.

We have been looking for a cabin closer to Des Moines for a while and Bonnie got an email from a realtor for this house up by Red Rock lake, which is much closer to Des Moines than our current cabin. Our cabin is 80 miles from town, and this one is 30 miles.

This one is a HUD owned house and is appraised for 109,000 and they are asking 43,000 for it. We offered 37,000 and they countered with 40,000.

We have accepted the counter offer and are awaiting the paperwork.
It will be the first time we have ever bought a house without looking at it....YIKES! It sits on 1.6 acres and is a 3 bedroom with 1500 square feet of living space with a 2 car attached garage. As soon as we close on it we will be returning to Iowa for the final closing procedures. So we may be seeing you all soon. LOL.
Gotta go for now...will keep you all posted.

ReplyDeletewe plan on getting our painting and whatnot done in the new house, then moving our stuff and selling the cabin. Thats the plan anyways....we are excited about being closer to Des Moines...Makes it easier to see everybody. And makes it easier for you to come out and visit us tooo..
