Well I am supposedly done the 29th....I hope. I now remember why I retired in the first place. Anyways I have been busy working for the last bunch of days, and last Tues, Wen and Thursday in Denver for meetings. So Friday we went garage sailing....We got a couple of thing, but not alot of good finds. After about 20 garage sales we were getting hungry, but couldn't decide where to eat. So I headed the 26 miles up the mountain to Estes Park. May as well have some ambiance with our lunch, after all, how often will we get to go to Estes Park for lunch? The day was beautiful, and as soon as we got up there we found a herd of elk grazing right in town. We stopped and took a few pictures of them.

We then went over to our little cafe in Estes called Molly B's.....We like that place.

After lunch we headed down to do a little shopping. The downtown is very quaint and just a cool place.

| Love this little downtown |
Then we went back to check out the Elk herd. We wanted to get a few better pictures, so we went to a better area for viewing and took some more pictures.

This picture is of the Stanley Hotel. Stephen King stayed here late one fall. While there, this place inspired him to write a book called The Shining. It was made into a movie of the same name starring Jack Nicholson.

It was getting late in the afternoon so we started down the mountain before it got to dark. This picture is of the Big Thompson Canyon, you have to go through to get up or down from Estes. The drive is quite spectacular.

The next day was Sat and I had to work at 1 in the afternoon. We decided to go garage sailing again to see if we could find any treasures. Much better day. We found 2 coach purses and 2 laptops along with a variety of other treasures.

I went to work with a smile on my face and satisfaction in my heart. I love finding treasures. Around 6:30 I stepped outside to smoke and saw the sun setting behind the Rocky's....Very fitting end to a good day!

I got home and we decided to go out to eat a late diner, we headed to historic downtown Loveland and found a place called the Black Steer. We went out to the back for a smoke while waiting for diner and I laughed when I saw the patio.

Only a few more days before we head for Iowa to say our farewells before heading to Florida. See ya all soon! And remember.....Life really is good!
Life is grand! I got to spend a little time with Dan tonite. He was working at Stormy's. Always a pleasure to spend a little time with one of my siblings. There is never enough time with them once you start getting older. I've been pretty lucky to live in the same city pretty much with two of them. Still can't seem to get together with my neices and nephews in the same darn town I live in! It shouldn't be so hard! I love those guys! ???!!!???
